Antique print, titled: ”David Eberhard Hauber.” – Portrait of David Eberhard Hauber, a German doctor of theology. Published in Paris in 1762.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Juste Chevillet’ after ‘Joh. Horner’. Juste Chevillet (1729-1790) was a German designer and engraver. He worked with Schmidt in Berlin was a pupil of J.G. Wille. His prints are of very good quality. Johan Horner (1711-1763) was a Swedish-born Danish portrait painter. He studied with Scheffel in Stockholm. Under pressure of religious discrimination Johan moved to Denmark where he would portray the clergy and burgeoisie.

Condition: Very good, given age. Small stains in margin and a few in print. Crease top and right margin. Pencil writing on rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
