Biography engraver: Carlo Faucci (1729-1784) was an Italian engraver. Active mainly in his native Florence, he was a pupil of the well-known Florentine engraver Carlo Gregori, with whom he studied chalcography with burin and etching, specializing in reproduction engraving.
Biography artist: Carlo Dolci (1616-1686) was a prominent Italian Baroque painter from Florence, known for devotional works and refined religious compositions, particularly of saints and the Virgin.
