Medium: Engraving on hand laid (verge) paper. Watermark: French Lilly with IV countermark.

Sheet size: 29.5 x 36.5 cm (11.61 x 14.37 inch). Image size: 26.5 x 34 cm. (10.43 x 13.39 inch).

Condition: very good, given age. Light foxing, creasing and soiling. Stain in middle. Some pinsize holes in right mddle margin. Some ver small tears in left margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Pietro Testa (1612-1650) was an Italian Baroque painter and printmaker, known for highly intellectual and allegorical works. A student of Pietro da Cortona and later associated with Cassiano dal Pozzo’s scholarly circle.
