Claude le Lorrain (1602-1682) was a French engraver from the Lorrain region (his real name is Gellee). Although initially confectioner, but later travelled to Italy to work in the workshop of Agostino Tassi in Rome.
Condition: Very good, given age. Cropped to the image edge. From the collection of J.H. Halbertsma (Lugt 1473) General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
