Antique print, titled: ‘Le Denicheur Malheureux’, (The unlucky finder.) A boy wants to get young birds from a nest in a tree, but falls from the tree. Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after Houasse. Michel-Ange Houasse (c.1680-1730) was a French painter. Most of whose career was spent at the court of Philip V of Spain. He introduced Spain to mythological and rural scenes he had learned from Flemish Baroque art.
Condition: Good, given age. Margins cropped to or into image edge. A few small stains in top of the print. Crease in bottom of print. Small tears in paper edge. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
