Very rare antique print, titled: ‘Hardervic.’ – Panoramic view of Harderwijk, The Netherlands. With descriptive text in Latin and French. Views of Jollain are scarse and sought after by collectors.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Gerard Jollain’ after ‘Braun and Hogenberg’. Gerard Jollain (active 1660-1683) was a French copper engraver, active in Paris under the sign of ‘Ville de Cologne’.
Condition: Very good, given age. Very nice dark impression. Remains of paper from previous attachment on rear. Paper edges ocassionally with small chipping. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
