Biography engraver: Johann Georg Wille (1715-1808) was a German-born engraver active in France. Renowned for his precise portrait engravings, Wille became one of the most influential printmakers of the 18th century.

Biography artist: Antoine Pesne (1683-1757) was a French-born painter who served as court painter to Frederick the Great of Prussia. Known for his elegant portraits and decorative works in the Rococo style.
