A story by Mien Harmsen, illustrated by Dick Elffers. 5 (part colour) lithographs by Dick Elffers, and a lithographed cover. One of the illustrations full-page, another double page. The images show the fair, and forest scenes. See scans. Published as a premium with the Christmas issue of “Drukkers Weekblad” (Amsterdam, G.H. Buhrmann`s Papiergroothandel paperback, 1949), a famous Dutch periodical for those employed in the graphic and printing industry.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Author: Mien Harmsen’ after ‘Dick Elffers’. Author: Mien Harmsen (1915-2000). Mien was Dick Elffers’ second wife, with whom she married in 1954. Dick Elffers (1910-1990) was a Dutch (graphic) artist. He was active as illustrator, painter, book binding designer, sculptor, ceramist and photographer.
Condition: Very good, given age. The spine slightly damaged, binding loose. Complete and the images in good condition. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
