12 Antique prints, titled: ‘Calendar 1975’ – Complete set of 12 sheets in a decorative wrapper. Complete as issued. A copy of the descriptive sheet by publisher included. Each sheet depicts a unique pictorial design of a month of a specific year, reflecting it’s season. Published by Takumi Craft Shop, Tokyo, Japan. 4 Images shown. Other sheets in comparable very good condition.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘K. Serizawa’ after own design. Keisuke Serizawa (1895-1984) was one of the greatest artists of 20th-century Japan. He originates from Shizuoka and studied design. From 1933 on he exhibited continuously and became a member of the Kokuga-kai art group.
Condition: Very good, given age. Wrapper edges a bit browned as is usual. Wrapper with folded edges, which are ocassionally a bit separated from wearing. Sheets with untrimmed edges and ocassional light creasing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
