[Hans VAN DRAANEN] Liefde in de Maneschijn

(‘Love by Moonlight’). On the right, a nude woman holds a bird in her hand. Behind the bird a dark figure of man wearing a hat. The moon lights the right half but leaves the left half mainly dark.

Etching and soft ground etching on wove (vellin) paper.
Sheet size: 21,5 x 18,3 cm. Image size: 14,7 x 10,8 cm.

Signed and marked ‘Eigen druk’ (printed by the artist) in pencil below the image. Apparently a later (1984) print run of 100 numbered copies exists.

Made by ‘Hans van Draanen’ after own design. Hans van Draanen (Amsterdam 1931 – Utrecht 1987).

Condition: Very good, given age. Remains of attachment to carrier to the rear of the sheet. Also a pen annotation in the top margin on the rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
