Description
The paper is a laid type paper and the satire style points to the Hogarth-Rowlandson-Gillray-Bunbury style and costume and as such a modest dating to 1820 is realistic, althought it could be earlier. The figure is in fact an etching attached to the handcoloured park setting. it has been overdrawn with handcoloured additions. As such it could be a design for further etching, but we have not found this image as a finished etching.
Etching / engraving with original hand colouring and drawing on laid paper.
