‘Magnolia Tripetala, 18.’

Etching wiht original hand colouring on wove (vellin) paper.
Sheet size: 20 x 26 cm. (7,9 x 10,2 inch). Image size: 17,5 x 23,5 cm. (6,9 x 9,3 inch).

This attractive print was pyblished by K.L. Wildenow in Hortus Berolinensis from 1803-1816. This was page 18 from the book.

Made by ‘Friedrich Guimpel’ after ‘K.L. Wildenow’. Friedrich Guimpel (1774-1839) was engraver, botanical illustrator, artist and professor at the Berlin Academy of Arts.

Condition: Good, given age. Some stains in lower right corner because of turning pages from the book. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
