From a rare series of 25 scenes of military life / scenes of war, published in 1656. Ref: Hollstein German 8 Provenance: Ex. Collection van der Grinten. Detached carrier sheet has a collection mark of the Kupferstichkabinett der Staatlichen Museen (Lugt 1612b) and of the same for doublets (Lugt 2482)

Made by ‘Hans Ulrich Franck’ after own design. Hans Ulrich Franck (1603-1680) was a German painter and etcher from Kaufbeuren, Swabia.

Condition: Very good, given age. Short margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
