Description
This print shows the famous victory of prince Eugenius in the battle near Luzzara, in august 1702. Luzzara is situated in Italy in the province Reggio Emilia, near the river Po. We see canons firing and a brigde build by the French victors.

Condition: fair, given age. Overall soiling and staining. Small tears in upper and lower margin been restored. Hole in right lower corner. Fold in lower right corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Pieter Schenk the Younger (born 15 February 1693 in Amsterdam; died: 14 January 1775) was a Dutch engraver and map publisher active in Leipzig. He was the son of the engraver and map publisher Peter Schenk the Elder who owned a shop in Leipzig and travelled regularly between there and Amsterdam in the 17th century. .
