The most famous English colour plate book recording the military endeavours of the Napoleonic wars, considered by Hardie to be a brilliant and worthy record of a brilliant period in our country’s history. Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Thomas Sutherland’ after ‘William Heath’. Thomas Sutherland (ca. 1785- ca. 1820) was an English aquatint etcher. William Heath?(1794-1840) was a?British?artist. He was best known for his published engravings which included?caricatures, political cartoons, and commentary on contemporary life.
Condition: Excellent, given age. Stamp on reverse. Some faint soiling in the margin. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
