Antique print, untitled. Napoleonic soldiers in a field. Three soldiers are speaking with a traveller and his son, while a fourth soldier walks toward a bunker on the right. Artists and Engravers: Made by Jacob Ernst Marcus after own design. Jacob Ernst Marcus (1774-1826) was born on St. Eustatius and active as engraver in Amsterdam. He produced a large number of prints, including book illustrations, portraits and the famous set of studies called “het prentwerk”.

Condition: Excellent, given age. A small stain in the top right margin corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
