Biography engraver: Pieter Tanje (1706-1761) was a Dutch engraver and etcher active in Amsterdam. He was one of the leading portrait engravers of the mid-18th century in the Dutch Republic, producing refined reproductive engravings after contemporary and earlier masters.

Biography artist: Jean Fournier (active 18th century) was a painter whose portraits served as models for engraved reproductions. His painted portrait of Willem IV formed the basis for this print by Tanj?.
