Antique Master Print, untitled. Shepherd with four cows standing in a pond near a ruined temple. Source unknown, to be determined. Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘A. Bartsch’ after ‘W. Romeyn’. Johann Adam Bernhard Ritter von Bartsch (1757-1821) was an Austrian scholar and artist. He was etcher and printmaker, but probably best known for his catalogue of old master prints, which formed the basis for the Art History of printmaking. Willem Romeyn (c. 1624-1694) was a Dutch landscape painter, and a student of Nicolaes Berchem.

Condition: Very good, given age. Light soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
