Antique Master Print, untitled. Partially nude female figure. Source unknown, to be determined. Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Eugene Andre Champollion’ after ‘Charles Chaplin’. Eugene Andre Champollion (1848-1901) was a French engraver / etcher. Guided by Gaucherel he became a respected modern etcher. Charles Joshua Chaplin (1825-1891) was a French painter. His main reknown caused by his enchanting women and children portraits. He became Paris’ most fashionable fashion painter.
Condition: Excellent, given age. A small, faint, stain in the right side of the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
