Antique print, titled: ‘Lykstatie van den Paus’, (‘Funeral procession of the Pope’). Procession dedicated to the death of a pope. In the middle of a long train of mounted figures and cardinals is the bier with the pope. Rare. Published c. 1700-1705.Artists and Engravers: Engraved by Hendrik Elandt after an anonymous artist. Hendrik Elandt (ca. 1640-1705) was a Dutch engraver. Very little is known about his life.

Condition: Very good, given age. Top margin cropped to the platemark. Remains of attachment to carrier to the rear of the sheet. Faint stains in the margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
