Description
This print shows a view on the portrait of Gula, the gluttony from the seven deadly sins. She is bearfeeded. A devil flies above her head and a a boar walks next to her. She holds a jug in one hand and a cup in the other hand. This print is a mirror image.
Made by an anonymous engraver after Jacques Callot.
Medium: Engraving / etching on wove (vellin) paper.
Sheet size: 5.8 x 7.6 cm (2.28 x 2.99 inch). Image size: 5.6 x 7.4 cm. (2.2 x 2.91 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Remains of glue on left on reverse. Small margin. Brownish. One brown spot. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
