BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Atlas Novae Archiepiscopatus Moguntini Tabulae, Mainz, 1693.
Biography engraver: Nikolaus Person (c. 1648-1710) was a German-French cartographer, engraver, and architect who worked extensively in Mainz. He created highly detailed maps of Germany and the Netherlands and was known for his precise and artistic approach to fortifications and regional geography. His major work was the Atlas Novae Archiepiscopatus Moguntini Tabulae (1690-1704).
