This handcoloured print shows a map of Persia. The map covers modern-day Iran, Iraq, Armenia, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and part of the coast of Arabia, labeled Bahrem onder Persie.
Made by an anonymous engraver after Tirion.
Medium: Engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.

Condition: good, given age. Folds as published. Brownish in 2 margins. Paper loss in right margin. Creases. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This attractive print was published by Tirion in Amsterdam. Isaak Tirion was a prominent Dutch publisher based in Amsterdam in the eighteenth century. He is best known for historical works that included prints showing scenes from around the world. He also produced maps, such as those in the Nieuwe Hand-Atlas of 1744. .
