This handcoloured print shows a map of the Persian Empire covering the region from the Caucasus to India with part of the Arabian peninsula. Nice detail of hundreds of tiny villages. Title in strapwork cartouche.

Made by an anonymous engraver after Cluver-Jansson.

Medium: Engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.

Sheet size: 29 x 21 cm (11.42 x 8.27 inch). Image size: 19 x 14.7 cm. (7.48 x 5.79 inch).

Condition: good, given age. Fold as published. Tear in upper fold restored. Creases. Folds in lower right corner. . General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
