Antique drawing, titled: ”21 Jan. 67. Sukarnapura – Nw. Guinea.” – A view of Sukarnapura (nowadays known as Jayapura) on the island of New Guinea, on Yos Sudarso Bay (formerly known as Humboldt Bay). Signed in ball point lower right. Titled and dated lower left. Made by Evert Jan Ligtelijn’. Evert Jan Ligtelijn (1893-1975) was a Dutch self-taught artist. He made many city views of Amsterdam, but was also a very active painter during his travels.

Condition: Very good, given age. The edges faintly browned. A few faint stains. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
