Antique drawing, titled: ”Nw Guinea – Madang. 19-1-67.” – (“New Guinea – Madang”). A view of Madang, the capital of Madang Province in Papua New Guinea. Signed in ball point lower right. Titled lower left. Made by Evert Jan Ligtelijn’. Evert Jan Ligtelijn (1893-1975) was a Dutch self-taught artist. He made many city views of Amsterdam, but was also a very active painter during his travels.

Condition: Very good, given age. Some ghosting in the right edge. Some creasing, left edge uneven (where the sheet was torn from a sketch book). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
