Biography artist: Johan Daniel de Gijselaar (1746-1829) was a Belgian draughtsman, painter, and teacher active in The Hague. Member of the Confrerie Pictura, he produced landscapes, still lifes, and genre scenes. His works often feature finely detailed ruins and romantic vistas.
