Condition: very good, given age. Light foxing, minor age toning, but clean margins and strong impression. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Printed 1802. From a series of 6 views: ‘Diverse gezichten in ons land.’, naar J.Andriessen, E. van Drielst. P. van Liender ea.

Reference: TvB G 3518.

Biography engraver: Jacob de Wit Jr. (active early 19th century), a Dutch engraver best known for reproductive prints after paintings and drawings by Dutch masters. Likely trained within the De Wit family tradition.

Biography artist: Egbert van Drielst (1745-1818), Dutch draughtsman and painter, known for his romanticized landscapes in the 17th-century tradition of Ruisdael and Hobbema.
