Antique drawing, titled: ”Voorbereiding voor Chinees Nieuwjaar 8-2-”67 a./b. v.d. “Langkoeas” Rott: Lloyd.” – (“Preparations for Chinese New Year on board of the Langkoeas, Rotterdamsche Lloyd”). Chinese sailors on the deck of the ship Lankoeas (built 1949, sold to Liberia 1969). Signed lower right and titled (twice) lower left, in blue pen. Made by Evert Jan Ligtelijn’. Evert Jan Ligtelijn (1893-1975) was a Dutch self-taught artist. He made many city views of Amsterdam, but was also a very active painter during his travels.

Condition: Very good, given age. Some ghosting around the image (from matting). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
