Antique drawing, titled: ”Jeddha.” – A view of the Oriental city of Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia, with several figures on a market square. On the verso ballpoint sketches of Japanese figures, annotated Tram stop Kobe (Japan). We base the dating and artist attribution on the presence of similar material acquired at the same time.Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after ‘Evert Jan Ligtelijn’. Evert Jan Ligtelijn (1893-1975) was a Dutch self-taught artist. He made many city views of Amsterdam, but was also a very active painter during his travels.
Condition: Good, given age. Left edge uneven (from binding). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
