This original drawing shows: a decorated bronze urn, with manuscript inscription below the image: ‘Bronze urn enamelled with glass found with other sepulchural relics in one of the great Barrows at Ashdon in Essex.’ Source unknown, to be determined. Possibly a design for a book illustration? Published in c. 1830.Artists and Engravers: Artist and engraver unknown.

Condition: Good given age. Margins cropped, the edges of the image stained. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
