Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de linkerzijde van het hoofd en van den hals” (the arteries of the left side of the head and the neck). Plate LXXIX from volume 2. From: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
