Two pilgrims/travelers in traditional pilgrimage attire holding staffs and a food basket. They display scallop shells on their garments, symbols of St. James’ pilgrimage.
Made by Jacques Lagniet (possible based on derived engraving in reverse) after Jacques Lagniet.
Medium: Crayon drawing on Blue-tinted hand-laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 21.5 x 32.5 cm (8.46 x 12.8 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Paper discoloration, small hole, slight toning due to framing and age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
