Print Description
Harbour scene with the Basilica Santa Maria della Salute in the background. A sail boat and two moored gondolas in the foreground. Several tallships and steam ships in the background.
Etching on wove (vellin) paper.
Sheet size: 17,6 x 21,5 cm. Image size: 17 x 21 cm.
Impression drawn from the original plate, included with the print. The plate has been treated with lacquer (removable) for preservation purposes.
Made by Etienne Bosch after own design. Etienne Bosch (1863-1933) was a Dutch painter, draughtsman, lithographer and etcher. He was a student at the same time as Marius Bauer at the Academy in the Hague, and worked in a similar style.
Condition: Very good, given age. Short margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
