A view of Venice canal houses, seen from the canal. A gondola picks up passengers in the lower right.

Etching on wove paper.
Sheet size: 23,2 x 37,7 cm. Image size: 22,9 x 36,2 cm.

Unsigned impression drawn from the original plate, included with the print. Signed in the plate (lower left), partly defaced. The plate has been treated with lacquer (removable) for preservation purposes.

Made by Etienne Bosch after own design. Etienne Bosch (1863-1933) was a Dutch painter, draughtsman, lithographer and etcher. He was a student at the same time as Marius Bauer at the Academy in the Hague, and worked in a similar style.

Condition: Very good, given age. Deeply inked impression with nice tone. Small margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
