Signes and dated on rear M. de Gijselaar fecit 1813.

Made by M. de Gijselaar after own design. We have not been able to find information on this artist, who painted flowers, but also historic and genre scenes in watercolour. Several of her flowers are in museum collections incl. the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam and her art work is being used for reproduction. This appears to be a rather early work, as other work we found is of a later date.

Condition: Good, given age. Some light soiling / staining at top. Rear top with remains of glue from previous attachment. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
