Made by Lucas Vorsterman after Peter Paul Rubens. Lucas Vorsterman I / the elder (Zaltbommel; 1595-1675) was a Dutch painter and accomplished engraver. He initially worked for Rubens, but parted after an argument. He was active in England from 1624-1630. After moving back to Antwerp his workshop had many students and he worked with his friend Van Dyck. Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) was a reknowned Flemish painter, who ran a large studio in Antwerp. He is considered to be one of the most famous Baroque painters of the 17th. Century.

Condition: Good, given age. Smal margins, foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
