Antique print, titled: ‘Labella Marfisa’, En profil portrait of a helmeted person, identified as La Bella Marfisa. Originally published ca. 1500. From an ed. published in Modena, by Soliani Stampatori Ducali, ca. 1683.Artists and Engravers: We found reference that the engraver is Lunardo, c. 1500. Originally published by Luca Antonio / Lucantonio de Giunta. Lucantonio Giunta originated in Florence, but by 1480 he moved to Venice, where he became one of the first printers in the city. Together with his brother Filippo, Giunta prospered and quickly established a network of presses and publishing houses both in Venice and throughout the cities of Venice, Florence, Lyon, Burgos, Salamanca and Madrid.
Condition: Very good, given age. Faint stains in margin and print. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
