St. Lenaert … – (Saint Leonard) The Saint holds a staff en hand-cuffs. Saint Leonardus of Noblac (active at the Frankish court, died 559 AC) He is considered the patron of prisoners and their sicknesses incl. depression, addiction, obsession etc. and of pregnant women and sich children.

Etching / engraving on hand laid paper.
Sheet size: 35,5 x 27 cm. (14 x 10,6 inch). Image size: 25,5 x 15 cm. (10 x 5,9 inch).

Later 19th.c. ed. of a probably 17th.

Made by ‘monogram I.R.L.’ after an anonymous artist.

Condition: Very good, given age. Light soiling and creasing. Some surface rubbing at top and left corners, not effedting image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
