Description
This image was published in lithography as an illustration to the Program Folder of the ‘Concours Central de Paris’, held at the Grand Palais… in Paris on March 29th, 1914. This folder was published by Imprimerie Duruy & Cie in Paris. The concours is an event organized by the Societ? Hippique Francaise. The ‘Union es Soci?t?s d’Equitation Militaire de France’ participated in this concours. This sheet carries a blindstamped monogram SHF of the Soci?t? Hippique Francaise, while the image in the folder has the monogram (and the date) printed in lithography. In addition this sheet has a pencil surrounding line, marking the size of the image. Possibly this is a proof or mock-up for the final image transferred into lithography. We located one copy of a folder, which we will plan to add to this listing. Very rare.
