This beautiful print has been published by T.F.L. Nees von Esenbeck (1787-1837) and W. Sinning (1792-1874) in Sammlung Schonbluhender Gewachse fur Blumen und Gartenfreunde. One of the rarer nineteenth century flower books. Nees von Esenbeck was Director of the Botanic Garden at Bonn, Sinning its head-gardener, and their work is a catalogue of the exotics growing there, including camellias, magnolia and banksias. 100 hand-coloured lithographic plates by Henry, Hohe and Wild.

Condition: Good, given age. Brown edge in upper margin, brown stains, crease in upper left corner, small piece of right lower an upper corner missing, fold upper right corner, in pen numbered 224. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
