Probably very rare as no other image could be found.
Made by ‘Dominicus Custos’ after own design. Domenicus Custos / Custodis (c. 1560-1612) was a designer and engraver from Antwerp. He was the son of Pieter Balten / Custodis. He worked in the service of Emperor Rudolph II in Prague. From 1584 he worked in Augsburg, where he married the widow of Bartholomaeus Kilian and worked with Kilian’s sons Lukas and Wolfgang. He had three sons: David, Jacob and Raphael, who became engravers as well.
Condition: Good, given age. Trimmed to image. Small tear at top left. Bottom paper edges with small tears and chipping. Nice impression. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
