Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: ”Joannes Wiclef (…)” – This rare original antique print shows a portrait of John Wycliffe (also spelled Wyclif, Wycliff, Wiclef, Wicliffe, Wickliffe; 1320s – 31 December 1384). He was an English scholastic philosopher, theologian, Biblical translator, reformer, and seminary professor at Oxford. He was an influential dissident within the Roman Catholic priesthood during the 14th century.

Condition: Very good, given age. A few minor crinkles. Minimal tear bottom edge. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Medium: Mezzotint engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.
