‘Le Chateau de Heidelberg’

By: S.v. Stengel. Stephan Christian von Stengel (1750-1822) was a German court official and draughtsman, etcher and collector, born in Mannheim. From 1788 titled Freiherr von Stengel, he was a finance / economist in the service of Kurfürst Karl Theodor von Pfalz-Bayern, and a State consultant and commisary for Bamberg.

Age: 1802.



Size sheet: c. 24.8 x 19 cm.

Medium: Etching on wove paper.

Condition: Light foxing; Trimmed close to plate marks.
