Description
Eve, seen from the front, naked and standing with the forbidden fruit in her hand. To her right the battle with a fruit in the tree, behind the tree a hare and a bear. Together with a print with Adam, it represents a representation of the fall.
Made by an anonymous engraver after Heinrich Aldegrever.
Medium: Etching on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 4.4 x 5.9 cm (1.73 x 2.32 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Slight paper loss in top left corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
