He studied in Antwerp at the Teken Academie from 1884 to 1888 and was also taught by A. Struys in Mechelen. He painted (in watercolour) and drew figures (Javanese dancers) and farm interiors. He was a member of the Amsterdam artist’s circle Arti et Amicitiae.
Condition: Good, given age. A dampstain in the bottom left corner. A little smudged (as is the nature of pencil sketches). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
