From a military series published by Israel Henriet c. 1645. This is a later 19th c. impression on vellin.

Made by Stefano della Bella after own design. Stefano Della Bella (1610-1664) originated from Florence and was later active as a graphic artist in Paris. He produced a wide variety of prints, with all kinds of subjectmatter. His prints were very popular and widely copied by printpublishers.

Condition: Very good, given age. Trimmed within plate mark. Some light staining from previous attachment on rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
