Maria Abrahami Erimitae Neptis.

Engraving on hand laid (verge type) paper.
Sheet size: 20,9 x 16,8 cm. Image size: 18,7 x 14,5 cm.

Copy in reverse after plate 4 from a series: ‘Solitudo sive vitae Foeminarum Anachoritarum.’ published c. 1580. This plate c. 1610, possibly by Jean le Clerc.

Made by an anonymous engraver after Cornelis Galle I (1570-1650) after Maerten de Vos (1532-1603)..

Condition: Good, given age. Remains of previous attachment at top. Light soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
