Condition: good, given age. The margins thumbed and faintly stained. . General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This print is part of the series ‘A Collection of Prints illustrative of English Scenery, from the Drawings and Sketches of Thomas Gainsborough’, published by W.F. Wells in 1802.
Biography engraver: John Laporte (1761-1839) was a British topographical draughtsman and engraver; often published his own prints; not clear whether he was born in Ireland and was taught there by his master, John Melchior Barralet, a Huguenot from Dublin, or in London where Barralet taught from the 1770s. Became a member of the New Watercolour Society in 1834.
Biography artist: Thomas Gainsborough (1727-1788) was a reknown British landscape and portrait painter and etcher.
