Subject: Antique print, titled: ‘Willem de Vyfde [..].’ – Portrait of William V of Orange.
Condition: Good, given age. Ample margins. A tiny hole in the left margin, just beside the image, and another small hgole in the top margin. A small nick in the lower margin, closed with acid-free archival tape. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Engraving on laid paper. Watermark: J. Kool.

Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Jacob Houbraken’ after ‘Jean Etienne Liotard’. Jacob Houbraken (Dordrecht 1698 – Amsterdam 1780). Houbraken was a Dutch artist, engraver and art collector. Jacob spend most his time designing and engraving portraits, such as the one offered here. Jean-Etienne Liotard (1702-1789) was a Swiss-French painter, art connoisseur and dealer.
